The Only Constant
If I knew what I was doing, things would be easier. But I learned a long time ago that if I wait until I have all the details worked out before I leave the house, I’ll never go anywhere.
All of which is just a long way of saying that some changes are coming to Pulp Asylum. I think they're good ones.
First and foremost, the AI generated art I've been using for these first few months is out after this December issue. I know AI sucks. After waffling around a while, trying to figure out how to approach (and afford) the change, I've finally put together and posted a call for artwork on the guidelines page. I’m not exactly optimistic about how this is going to go--not because I doubt that there are talented artists out there who will send me things, but because I am not much of a judge of art and wonder if I’ll make good choices. Then again, some people say I can't pick stories either. Ha. Regardless, it’s a go. What’s the worst that can happen? After all, the lunatics are already taking over the U.S. The things I can break pale in comparison.
Second, there will be a new publication schedule. After this issue, Pulp Asylum Will become a bi-monthly rather than a monthly publication.
I hope to see you all again here in February. In the meantime, enjoy December’s pulp delights and have a thrilling holiday season!
Peace,
Billy
